Pineville, LA- Louisiana College hosted the SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) on-site team October 8-10 to review the institution’s progress in responding to the concerns expressed by SACS in 2011.

An exit interview held by the SACS on-site team provided the Louisiana College administration with valuable feedback in its effort to ensure the college’s tradition of educating students in the Liberal Arts and fulfilling the mission of Louisiana College.

The Board of Trustees of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools will meet on December 9 at the annual meeting in Atlanta Georgia, at which time they will act on the team report, and the institution’s response.

“The preparation done by our faculty and staff for the on-site visit has been tremendous,” President Aguillard said. “They have worked tirelessly to establish a foundation on which the college can grow by collecting data and assessing outcomes to make informed decisions. The faculty, staff and administration are to be commended for an outstanding job”.

Louisiana College remains the only accredited four-year private Baptist College in the state.

Founded in 1906, Louisiana College seeks to provide liberal arts, professional, and graduate programs characterized by devotion to the preeminence of the Lord Jesus, allegiance to the authority of the Holy Scriptures, dedication to academic excellence for the glory of God, and commitment to change the world for Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.
