Associate Professor of Allied Health
Dr. Stallings graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Louisiana College in 1996. In 1998 she completed her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center-School of Allied Health Professions (LSU-SAHP) and obtained a license to practice physical therapy. She then worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, outpatient, and home health over the next ten years. In 2007, Dr. Stallings left her position as Director
of Rehabilitation Services at Huey P. Long Medical Center to return to her alma mater, Louisiana College, to assist with the development of the new physical therapist assistant program. While involved in the process of program development and initial accreditation, she returned to LSU-SAHP and completed a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2011. She has served as director of the PTA program since the time of program development and has had the privilege of seeing numerous program graduates become licensed physical therapist assistants and valuable members of the healthcare community. She has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 1996.
Dr. Stallings and her husband, Jerry, have twin daughters. In addition to reading, cooking, and gardening, she enjoys serving as team mom for her daughters' travel softball team. She is an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alexandria where she currently serves as a television ministry prayer partner and 2nd grade missions teacher.
