An average class size of 12 affords us the opportunity to develop personal relationships with our students in an effort to ensure they receive the best education possible. At the same time, our programs have been developed to equip students with the critical communication skills necessary to thrive in an ever-changing media and communication landscape.
For students interested in a media-centric career, the Department of Convergence Media offers cutting-edge programs in Convergence Journalism, Media Production and Public Relations. Students within the Department of Convergence Media develop diverse skills through practical experience across a host of media platforms.
For students considering alternative professional careers or future graduate work, our Department of Communication Studies offers flexible programs designed to develop more traditional, yet highly sought after oral and interpersonal communication skills. In addition, the Department of Communication Studies offers a minor in Communication Studies to compliment virtually any discipline as well as a Speech Education minor for students interested in teaching speech and drama in a secondary setting.
