Financial Aid
Louisiana College students are encouraged to apply for financial aid from a variety
of sources. While some aid is awarded on the basis of need, there are many types of
assistance awarded on talent, scholarship or merit where need is not a factor. Since
the college endeavors to help a majority of its students through some financial assistance,
college-funded scholarships or awards are carefully distributed among the applicants.
Louisiana College has been able to offer assistance from various programs to more than 90%
of its students during the last several years. Scholarship awards are limited to students
enrolled on a full-time basis, and federal aid is awarded to qualifying students enrolled
a minimum of half-time. All financial aid applicants must be accepted for admission to the
college before the award is made final. All forms of student aid administered by Louisiana
College are available to all students without regard to handicap, race, color, sex or
national origin.
Louisiana College Student Financial Aid Office is available to applicants to discuss
eligibility for financial assistance. Please call (318) 487‐7259 to schedule an appointment.
