Applying for Admission and Scholarships
We are pleased that you are interested in joining us at Louisiana College.
This application will assist us in determining your eligibility for admission
to LC and for our merit scholarship program. When completing this form,
please do so carefully and intentionally so that you may receive complete
consideration of your academic and extracurricular record.
FRESHMAN APPLICANT CHECKLIST
- Complete all parts of the Application
for Admission & Scholarships. (Click
here for online application)
- Submit this application with a non-refundable $25 application
fee.
- Ask your high school counselor to send your official
transcript to the Admissions Office. Official transcripts must
be sent directly to our office in a sealed envelope from your high school.
A transcript may be hand-delivered by the student, provided that it
is brought to the Admissions Office in a sealed envelope from the high
school. Photocopies, faxes or transcripts opened by the student are
not considered official.
- Arrange to have your official ACT Score Report
or your official SAT Score Report sent directly to the Admissions Office.
(ACT code: 1586, SAT code: 6371) Reports on high school transcripts
and those that have been photocopied by the high school are considered
official. Those that have been faxed, e-mailed, or opened by the student
are not considered official.
TRANSFER APPLICANT CHECKLIST

- Arrange to have your official transcript sent directly
from EACH college or university you have attended to the Office of Admissions.
A transcript may be hand-delivered by the student, provided that it

GRADUATES OF NON-ACCREDITED HIGH SCHOOLS, HOME SCHOOLERS,
AND GED RECIPIENTS CHECKLIST

- Submit this application with a nonrefundable $25 application
fee.
- Arrange to have your official GED transcript sent
directly to the Admissions Office from the appropriate testing authority.
Photocopies, faxes or transcripts opened by the student are not considered
official.
- Arrange to have your official ACT score report
or your official SAT score report sent directly to the Admissions Office.

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANT CHECKLIST
- Due to the complexity and time-intensive nature of processing
international applications, such students may apply by May 1 for Fall
term and by October 1 for Spring term.
- Complete all parts of the Application
for Admission & Scholarships. (Click here for online application)
- Arrange to have your official secondary school
transcripts evaluated by an outside credentialing agency and have formal
evaluation forwarded to the Admissions Office. Graduates of secondary
schools who have not attempted any university-level credit must also
have a "document-by-document" evaluation completed. Students
who want to have credit from a non-U.S. university considered for transfer
credit at Louisiana College must have a "course-by-course"
evaluation completed.
- Forward official TOEFL scores (if English is not
your first language) to the Admissions Office. Photocopies, faxes
or scores opened by the student are not considered official.
- Forward official ACT or SAT scores to the Office

CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT
Louisiana College offers several attractive programs through which academically
talented high school students may earn regular college credit prior to
their graduation from high school. Eligibility for admission under this
program is competitive and contingent upon the high school student's academic
record and standardized test scores. For more information about admission
requirements, please contact the Office of Admissions.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Louisiana College accepts applications on a rolling basis. Once an applicant
forwards all of the above-mentioned forms and credentials, an admissions
decision will be rendered as soon as the file is completed. Applicants
seeking consideration for LC's Top 30 Scholars program must complete their
applications and submit all supporting materials by December 7.
APPLICATION FEE
A nonrefundable application fee of $25 must be paid for successful submission
of the application.
