Scholarships and Awards
Dr. Chris Rich Senior Athletic Training Student Scholarship
- Deadline - February 1. Download application.
- Applicant must be enrolled in the LC ATEP
- Applicant has to be a Senior in the LC ATEP
- Applicant must be sponsored by an ATC with good standing with the BOC
- Applicant must not be on full scholarship
- Applicant must be a member of the NATA
- It must be the intent of the applicant for this scholarship that he or she pursues the profession of Athletic Training or related field
- Highest cumulative GPA in association with application criteria will be used for award
- Past scholarship winners are not eligible
Dr. Chris Rich Junior Athletic Training Student Scholarship

- Applicant must be enrolled in the LC ATEP
- Applicant has to be a Junior in the LC ATEP
- Applicant must be sponsored by an ATC with good standing with the BOC
- Applicant must not be on full scholarship
- Applicant must be a member of the NATA
- It must be the intent of the applicant for this scholarship that he or she pursues the profession of Athletic Training or related field
- Highest cumulative GPA in association with application criteria will be used for award
Courtney Butler Excellence in Athletic Training Scholarship
- Deadline - February 1. Download application.
- Applicant must be enrolled in the LC ATEP
- Applicant has to be a Sophomore in the LC ATEP
- Applicant must be sponsored by an ATC with good standing with the BOC
- Applicant must not be on full scholarship
- Applicant must be a member of the NATA, or has filed an application
- It must be the intent of the applicant for this scholarship that he or she pursues the profession of Athletic Training or related field
- Highest cumulative GPA (all previous work will be included for transfer students) in association with the above criteria will be used for award
The Todd / Black Scholarship
- Applicant must be enrolled in a major within the department of Health and Physical Education
- Given 1 time annually

National Athletic Trainer’s Association Iota Tau Alpha Epsilon Honor Society

- This society is designed to embrace those Athletic Training Students who demonstrate superior classroom achievement and the member qualifications are as follows:
- be an undergraduate major in Athletic Training at an institution where a chapter of Iota Tau Alpha is located.
- have completed at least one term of the second year of a four-year curriculum or its equivalent
- have completed at least three term courses in Athletic Training Education, with an average grade of “B” or better of which at least one is not an introductory course
- be in good academic standing. Only regular members may holed the constitutionally specified chapter offices, vote on chapter membership, nominations on national questions, and represent the chapter or vote at national conventions.

American Southwest Conference Student Athletic Trainer Academic Award:
- Career GPA must be a minimum of 3.0 based on a 4.00 system. No grades can be transferred from another institution
- Must complete at least 24 semester hours at an ASC institution
- Credit from summer terms, mini-semesters and correspondence shall not count when the nomination is based upon the last two semesters of attendance
- Any student athletic trainer who qualifies must be recommended by his/her head AT, and must be in good standing with the institution’s Athletic Training Program
