The Council on Social Work Education’s Commission on Accreditation announced in October 2013 that the Social Work Program at LC was reaffirmed for eight years.

This announcement came after a lengthy process, which included an in-depth self-study of the program, a site visit, and a response to the site visit.

The Social Work Program has been continuously accredited since 1993.  The Division of Human Behavior strives to deliver the best quality social work program that integrates social work knowledge, values, skills, and the Christian faith.  For the past 6 years, 100% of LC social work program graduates, who were eligible for advanced standing in a graduate program, were accepted allowing them to complete a MSW (Masters Degree in Social Work) in one year.

Graduates who do not immediately choose to pursue a graduate degree have been able to find employment in a variety of social service agencies.
