Welcome to your new home away from home! The transition from high school to college is one of the most exciting times in life, and we want to do our best to help you navigate this transition well. From the moment you arrive on campus, our orientation staff will walk you through your first week at Louisiana College.
When you arrive on campus, our Residence Life Staff and Wildcat Navigator Staff will be here to greet you. Freshmen will move in on Thursday, August 12, at 8 a.m.- 1 p.m., when you will be directed to your assigned residence hall for check-in. As you get settled into your new room, make sure you join us for lunch in Hattie B's cafeteria, Granberry with LRAP for Pizza, Food Trucks, and vendors in the quad. The Residence Life staff will be there to give you an orientation packet that includes your Wildcat Welcome t-shirt. Food will be provided from noon to 2 p.m., and orientation packets will be handed out during move in.
Parents are invited to Guinn Auditorium at 3:30 p.m. for Parent Orientation. Parents will hear from the LC staff about how to navigate this new season in their life.
Wildcat Welcome Weekend orientation will officially kick off with your Navigators at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday and will conclude Sunday evening. Orientation will be an invaluable tool in helping you learn the ropes of being a student at Louisiana College. You will also have the opportunity to form lifelong friendships.
Wildcat Welcome Weekend orientation is part of the College Connection (CC100), your freshmen orientation class, and is mandatory for the CC100 course. Make your plans now to be here; we know you will have a blast!
