Tuesday, Sept. 13
Rev. Vince Smith
Dean of Students
Pastor, Circle Church, Alexandria, La.
I am from Monroe, La and have been living here in central Louisiana for a year and half now.  I’m a church planter and the lead pastor to the Circle Church in Alexandria, La. I am currently pursuing my MDIV at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I try to not take myself too seriously. I love people, I love to laugh, and I value authenticity. I believe people can recognize authentic vs. artificial, so I strive to be the same person everywhere I go. I have been married to my best friend Casie for 3 1/2 years. We met while I was in school at ULM. We have 2 dogs, Biscuit and Celtic and we love having people over to hang out in our home. Some random things about me: I own a lot of tennis shoes, I’m a huge Chicago Cubs fan, I read a lot of books, and I need coffee to survive in life. I love meeting new people and I’m looking forward to meeting you. I’m looking forward to a great year here at LC! Claws up!

Rev. Steve Beckham

Tuesday, Sept. 27
Mrs. Shelia Brazeale
Sheila grew up in North Louisiana and after graduating from Fairview-Alpha High School, went on to Louisiana College where she played basketball and met her husband, Keith. Sheila and Keith have been married for 33 years, and they have 3 children: Julie, Dan, and Josh.  They have also recently become first time grandparents to little Caleb James Darr. They currently reside in Alexandria, Louisiana. Sheila is a former teacher that now fulfills this passion through the teaching of God's Word within Precept Ministry Bible Studies. She has been involved in Precept for 26 years and has taught it for 20 years.  This type of study has taught her the value of filling the "well" within her heart with His Word for the upcoming droughts of life; hence, her motto and motivation is the old saying, "What's Down in the Well, Comes Up in the Bucket."  She has learned it is not "If" the droughts will come, but it is only a matter of "When" they will come.  She loves inductive bible study and focuses on life transformation as she seeks to bring God's Word from the page to the pavement of other’s lives. Sheila self published a devotional book in 2009 called, "What's Down in the Well, Comes Up in the Bucket."

Mr. Jake Gulledge
Worship Leader, Comedian, and Church Consultant
Jake is a full time itinerate worship leader residing in Atlanta, GA. He has been in ministry for over 26 years. He is a worship leader at one of the country's fastest growing churches, 12Stone Church in Lawrenceville, GA. In addition to being a worship leader, he is also a comedian/motivational speaker. While worship has been the primary aspect of Jake's ministry, it is the delivery of his life's story that gives people the freedom to look at themselves and laugh. Jake's sense of humor has always been contagious from the stage. Because of this, he dared himself to try his hand at stand up comedy as a means of simply checking it off his "bucket list" - and he's been very successful. Over the past 4 years, Jake has toured across the country performing from comedy clubs, to colleges, and churches to corporate events. The material he uses is the same in both the churches to the comedy clubs without changing anything. There's a message that's apparent no matter the venue - Laughter is necessary and there's always room to smile no matter the circumstances in life.

Thursday, Oct. 20
Rev. Bill Britt
Evangelist and Founder of Compel Ministries International
Compel Outreach is an international, indigenous missions outreach established by Bill and Wendy Britt. This ministry seeks to reach as many people as possible, as quickly as possible, in as many places as possible. Bill and Wendy have been in the ministry for over 30 years. After many years in evangelism, God gave Bill a vision for bringing the Gospel to the most needy nations of the world. Romans 10:14-15 says that the people of the world cannot believe in a Christ they have never heard about. And how are they to hear without a preacher? And how can the preacher go except someone sends them? There are still billions of unreached souls that are without the Gospel. Bill and Wendy now focus their hearts on bringing the Good News to those that have not heard.

Although he values all of God’s Word, Dr. Meek is most interested in the wisdom literature of the Old Testament (Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiastes) because he believes these books deal with the issues humans struggle with constantly: living faithfully to the Lord in a fallen world. In addition, Dr. Meek is co-founder and associate editor of Journal for the Evangelical Study of the Old Testament, an international, peer-reviewed journal that engages the Old Testament from an evangelical perspective for the good of the church. When Dr. Meek isn’t teaching, you can find him spending time with his (much) better half, Brittany, and their child.
