About Dr. Stacy Mayeux, Ph.D., RN

Dr. Mayeux graduated from Louisiana College in 1986 and is proud of the fact she was in the first LC Nursing class. Her nursing career began in cardiac and critical care. Since then, she has nursed as an adult, pediatric and neonatal staff nurse. Later in her career, she worked in administration as manager of post-anesthesia care units and also as house supervisor.

Dr. Mayeux has a passion for “nursing, nurses, and nursing education.” She is obtained a Ph.D. in Nursing Education and Administration at William Carey University. As a nurse researcher, she focuses on nursing students with learning disabilities such as ADHD.

Dr. Mayeux is married to Johnnie Mayeux.  She lives on a farm and enjoys working with the animals, working in the yard, and being with family. She is an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pineville and is active in the choir.
